Spidey Study

This is a Spider-Man study that I began almost a year ago, but only finished the other day. It's watercolor over an ink drawing.

I'm really excited for the upcoming issue, the script for which I should get before the end of the month. It'll be another jumbo-sized issue, this time starring a classic Spidey villain.

    Can I ask you something about your watercolor-over-ink technique? How do you get the ink not to bleed into the watercolor? Is it just that you use light inks?

    Narco, I use Pelikan Drawing Ink A, which is completely waterproof, once dry. I'm sure there are other brands out there that are pretty good too.
