For the last of 6 connecting covers, I enlisted another illustrator, Nick Lasovich, to help me with a 3D mock-up of the family. He used Daz3D to pose everyone and I lit the scene in Blender to play with the cast shadows. I knew Lori and Judith were going to be tough because I had to convey a a lot with minimal detail and contrast, but the model really helped me figure out the best approach.
