Here's the Flash reference from my JLA: Classic poster (16 Artist Proofs left). This one was done using 3D models that were lit in ZBrush, Anatomy 360, or Marmoset Toolbag. Now I do almost everything in Blender.  I added the "exploded" view to show how I sometimes paint accessories like symbols, belts, and FX on separate layers. I didn't have exactly the pose I wanted, but it was close enough. Only a couple more reference posts left on this piece — Superman and Batman!
