JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA (Classic). 2021.

Here's the Aquaman reference from the Sideshow poster. (I've got about 19 artist proofs left in the shop!) I included the long-haired version from the Modern poster to show how much extra painting was required to update the figures. On the top right, you can see what a painted layer looks like if no one is going to see it. He's also lighter, since he doesn't have any light or haze layers over him.

I got an art assist on the modern version scales from Ian MacDonald, art director at Sideshow. I got so bogged down on the first one that I gave up for a while, but he helped me get back into the swing of things. That's when I finally figured out how to get that traditional look from painting in Photoshop.
