JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA. 2018. Photoshop, 14 × 20″ @ 400 ppi.

At long last, my JLA print is finally seeing the light of day! This is one of the few projects that I actually quit halfway through. It was just taking too long and I wasn't happy with the results. Luckily for me, Sideshow was not only beyond patient, they convinced me to come back, going so far as to help me with some of the painting duties (like Aquaman's scales).

It will be available for pre-order this Friday, September 28. Full details here. I'll do a process post at a later date, but the whole thing was done with Photoshop using mostly Kyle T. Webster's brushes, plus a couple from Greg Rutkowski.

  1. Is there any way to purchase this? I've been trying to find online. I'm such a huge fan of Justice League, especially Jon Stewart and Hawk Girl from the Justice League Unlimited animated series.

    1. I'm afraid not. I have prints of the classic version, but I'm all sold out of this one. Sorry!

  2. I only don't like that Batman is in trunks. In my humble opinion both Batman and Superman should either be in trunks or both trunkless. I also much more prefer Rebirth costume towards Reborn for Superman. Also the Flash has golden elements instead of neon blue.

And in Classic version you didn't do black trunks for Aquaman.
But other than that it is as excellent and perfect as anything else you painted. I love your style so much you don't even know it. Please don't take my issues too close to heart, it's just mine, you are the artist.

Also I love more open Cyborg design. Or just more lean.

    1. Yeah, we were pulling from a lot of different versions here (and several that don't typically go together). Sideshow wanted certain characters to resemble statues they had produced, but not all. There was actually a lot of back and forth on this because we didn't have a single inspiration.
