The script actually called for a more complicated shot (which can be seen in the layout sketch) but I liked the simplicity of the objects. Also, there are certain techniques I like that require a blank ground. I've done many revisions this way, though, painting on top of a digital printout if I didn't want to bother with the original.<BR/><BR/>Of course, the time issue is one of the main reasons I don't do painted comics any more.
