Not pictured is all the period reference that was necessary for this story, set in 1953 (trade paperback available here). From the cars to the Sheriff Station, I tried to be as accurate as possible.

DeleteThanks so much for sharing your process. Was wondering if you have any links to info about your process of printing out the blue lines to ink over? I've been wanting to do the same, but not sure if I need a large format printer to get it on the 11 x 17 bristol board.

DeleteYes thanks so much for sharing. It's always great to see your process. I have a follow up on the printer. You don't have any issues with the ink bonding to the water resistant ink? I'm sure you don't cause you wouldn't be using it. Just curious if there is a matte setting or something. Also do you use this printer for giclee prints as well? This printer looks really affordable especially the ink replacements. Thanks for taking the time! -Zeke
ReplyDeleteWell, my Dad is the one printing these out and he's using a cheap printer/scanner combo by Brother. I think what's more important is the kind of paper used — Strathmore 500 semi-smooth bristol most often, though their cheaper series would probably work just as well.
DeleteFor for giclées, I use Epson R2000, which is a bit more expensive, both for the printer and the cartridges.
